Weekly Mom Horoscopes: November 5- November 11.

General Astrology Overview for All 12 Signs:
Say what? Communication planet Mercury turns retrograde from Tuesday till November 26, scrambling signals and crossing wires. Mercury passed the Earth in its orbit 3-4 times each year, which is called a retrograde. The effect is a bit like the illusion of two trains passing each other at different speeds when one appears to be going in reverse. During Mercury retrogrades, the areas governed by the speedy messenger planet tend to go a bit haywire: communication, short trips, mobile devices, and the travel of information. In other words, make sure you’re sending that naughty text to your boyfriend and not your boss! With Thanksgiving planning falling under Mercury’s retrograde, make sure to book travel with reputable companies only and try to sort out those family feuds before you gather ’round the table. Until November 14, Mercury will be retrograde in honest-to-a-fault Sagittarius before moving back to Scorpio. The truth can hurt; use extra tact so your message doesn’t get lost in translation.

Retrogrades rule the past, and Mercury retrogrades are notorious for bringing old friends and foes out of the woodwork. These are great periods for reunions, but will the connection stick? You’ll have to wait until after November 26 to see for sure. Researching, revising, revamping, and renewing: all the “re” actions are what to focus on for three weeks.

As you head to the voting booths this Tuesday, concentrate deeply on the lever you’re pressing. The last time Mercury was retrograde on Election Day was in 2000 when Al Gore was declared as President of the USA, only to discover the next day that Bush actually won due to a miscount. It’s already a nail-biting election to begin with, here’s hoping Mercury’s retrograde turn doesn’t add more drama to the mix.

On Saturday, dreamy Neptune resumes forward motion in Pisces after a five month retrograde. Life has been extra surreal while Neptune was in reverse, so its forward turn should help to counterbalance some of the effects of Mercury. Neptune rules our spirituality, divinely inspired creativity and charitable inclinations. Surrender to the spirit of the holiday season. ‘Tis better to receive, says Neptune. Just don’t forget that it’s also okay to have boundaries. Neptune’s retrograde may have caused some slippage in that arena and many of us will spend the weekend putting healthy limits back in place. Take off the rose-colored glasses, temporarily. Although Neptune is the planet of fantasy, that’s no call for denial or delusion.
