Weekend Reading Roundup

Books falling out of a window

Hope you’re having a great weekend, mamas.  I’m going to read and forbid my daughter to wear green all day so I squeeze her and pinch away.  Here are a few of my favorite blog links from around the web. Enjoy!

Turn your kiddos’ face into a stamp.  I can think of a million reasons why and how I can use one of these.

You can never get them started too early on Jane Austen and Mr. Darcy!  Classic books for kids.

I love making lists!  Lists of my dreams, thoughts  and goals.  I am list-obsessed; I even have special, beautiful notebooks for mine.  So naturally, I am in love with artist Mia Nolting’s work.  Here is her collection as featured on Wit + Delight. .  She gets me at the core.

At last, a super easy recipe for the best spaghetti sauce you will ever eat AND you can make yourself, easily. I made it last night for a few friends and my picky daughter. Verdict: they think I am a genius in the kitchen.  If they only knew!

Hands down, Thumblelina  is my favorite kids clothing site.  It’s like browsing through Anthropologie, but for children.  It’s on the pricier side, but what you can’t afford you can pin on Pinterest.  Or take up sewing like I’m about to do so I can replicate a few of these gems!

In 1958, John Steinbeck wrote his son a letter  of advice about falling in love.  My heart was overwhelmed by his words and it was brilliant advice.  Take a minute and read it, you will not be sorry  Here’s a line from the letter: “If it is right, it happens. The main thing is not to hurry.  Nothing good gets away.” Swoon.
